Tessaract.io and Asia Law Network
Juyuan was called to the Singapore Bar in 2014, and has practiced extensively in the area of Community Law for over 4 years. Juyuan is currently a Sales and Business Development Representative of Tessaract.io. In addition to meeting with prospective clients to showcase the capabilities of the Tessaract platform, Juyuan also works closely with the team in product development, and manages projects involving key stakeholders in the legal industry such as the Singapore Academy of Law and the Law Society of Singapore.
Prior to joining the team, Juyuan was the Coordinator and Programme Manager for the Singapore Academy of Law’s Legal Technology Vision (“LTV”) Programme. The LTV aims to help the legal industry leverage technology to enhance their practice, and is also a call to action for legal technology providers to engage in public-private sector collaborations for the building of a legal tech ecosystem. Having seen how well the Tessaract.io platform stood out against the wide variety of legal tech solutions, both home-grown and abroad, Juyuan joined the team to be able to be “on the ground” to share its capabilities and benefits with the rest of Asia.
Juyuan was also one of the 5 lawyers in the inaugural batch of Criminal Legal Aid Scheme (CLAS) Fellows (a pro bono outfit aimed at providing legal aid to underprivileged accused persons run by the Law Society of Singapore) and continues to work closely with Pro-bono and Low-bono organisations in various capacities.
